02Chapter II · Vineyard

Sunnyslopes,
Vipava terroir.

Our vineyards grow on sunny Vipava slopes, where Mediterranean influences, the bora wind and fertile marl soils create ideal conditions for quality grapes.

A year in the vineyard

Four chapters, one vine.

Spring

Bud break

The vine wakes in March. The first buds and carefully directed pruning.

Summer

Flowering

June sunshine turns flowers into berries. Green canopy work.

Autumn

Harvest

In August and September, we harvest by hand into small crates.

Winter

Rest

The vine sleeps. Wine ages in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels.

Vineyard at sunset

“The sun sets five minutes later than in the valley. That time belongs to the wine.”
